This Privacy Policy explains how EP Wiring Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use EZ Wire, our cloud-based electrical wiring harness design platform, and our website at https://ezwire.app. It also describes your rights under applicable data protection law.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Who We Are (Data Controller)

EP Wiring Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a Scottish company registered under number SC752465, with our registered address at Unit 12 - 11 Dellingburn Street, Greenock, PA15 4RN, United Kingdom.

3.1 Information You Provide

• Account information — your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and contact details when you register for an account
• Design content — the wiring harnesses, connectors, branches, lengths, devices, and related documentation you create and store on the platform

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, and interaction patterns within the platform
• Device and technical data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device information, and referring URLs

3.3 Information From Third Parties

We receive limited information from our payment processor, Paddle, relating to your subscription and transaction status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by Paddle. See Section 5.

We process your personal data for the following purposes, relying on the legal bases identified:

• To provide the EZ Wire service — creating and managing your account, storing your designs, and delivering platform features (legal basis: performance of a contract)
• To process subscriptions and payments — via our payment processor Paddle (legal basis: performance of a contract)
• To provide customer support — responding to your enquiries and resolving issues (legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests)
• To improve and secure the platform — analysing usage, diagnosing problems, preventing fraud and abuse (legal basis: our legitimate interests)
• To send service communications — important notices about your account, billing, or changes to the service (legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests)
• To send marketing communications — only where you have consented, and you may withdraw consent at any time (legal basis: consent)
• To comply with legal obligations — such as accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements (legal basis: legal obligation)

5. Payment Processing (Paddle)

Our order process and subscription billing are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment information (such as card details and billing address) directly. We do not store your full payment card details.

To enable checkout and subscription management, we load Paddle's JavaScript on our site, which may set cookies and process technical data. 6. Cookies and Analytics

6.1 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used. This information helps us improve the platform.

7. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers and processors — including Paddle (payments), Google (analytics), and our cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements

• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in secure facilities within the United Kingdom and the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to jurisdictions covered by UK adequacy regulations.

• Active account data is retained for as long as your account remains active
• Following account deletion, your design data is permanently deleted after a 30-day retention period
• Backup data is deleted in line with our backup retention schedule
• Some data may be retained for longer where required to meet legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations

10. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights in respect of your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances
• Restriction — ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances
• Portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing
